Nail art is a billion dollar industry and it’s not hard to see why. It’s no secret that we love the opportunity to experiment with different colors, shapes, patterns and textures when it comes to our nails. We can’t get enough of them! In this blog post I am going to discuss some nail trends you may be interested in trying out for yourself or your clients. Nail design has been around for centuries, starting in ancient China and India.

In the 18th century Europe began to use nail art as a form of communication or status symbol- such as wearing gloves that were embroidered with symbols identifying their occupation. Nails have even been used as jewelry! The 17th century saw nails being adorned with jewels and gems – which was quite fashionable at the time.

The beauty industry is constantly evolving when it comes to manicures and pedicures; so don’t be surprised if you see new trends popping up over time. Here are some of my favorites: Polish Change Challenge: For this challenge, all participants paint one hand using regular polish (no glitter).
