The moon has a magnetosphere right now. It’s a magnetic field that surrounds the Earth. It consists of three layers: a polar cap, a magnetopause, and a polar aurora. The polar cap is the hottest area of the moon’s atmosphere. It’s located below the polar cap. It’s where the atmosphere is denser and the poles are much larger than they need to be.
The polar cap is where Earth’s atmosphere is denser and its where the poles are smaller and closer to Earth. Its where the atmosphere is more transparent. Its where the atmosphere is thinner and where the poles are closer to the Earth.
The moon has a hydrosphere. It’s an area of the moon’s surface that is not surrounded by any atmosphere or landmass. It is in between the polar caps and the polar aurora. The moon’s hydrosphere is like the bottom of a swimming pool, except it has no bottom. It’s where the water is thinner and the water has no buoyancy.

So how do we know that the moon has none of these features? Well, we don’t. And, based on its atmosphere, it does not have a hydrosphere, a magnetosphere, and a hydrogen-helium mixture that can hold up a planet’s atmosphere. As a result, the moon is about 1/20th the size of earth and has no atmosphere, no magnetosphere, and no hydrosphere.
If the moon ever had a hydrosphere, atmosphere, and a magnetosphere it would be like having a small planet with a thin atmosphere. The moon is a big, round ball and is not a small planet. So, the moon is about 120th the size of earth and has no atmosphere, no magnetosphere, and no hydrosphere.
